Symposium: Parenting in the Arts

Symposium Parenting in the Arts
Date: 3. Juli 2025 / July 3, 2025
Time: 9.30 – 16:30
Location: Kunstverein Munich – Archivraum & Foyer

With: Hettie Judah, Sascia Bailer, Mirthe Berentsen, Maurin Dietrich, MATERNAL FANTASIES, Bündnis Kunst und Kind München, Fair Share! Sichtbarkeit für Künstlerinnen* & more

During the Symposium Parenting in the Arts, – artists, institutions, policy makers, cultural workers and local professionals are brought together – to ask the hard questions and build the tools we need for a more inclusive, supportive and equitable art world. Through keynote speeches by Hettie Judah and Sascia Bailer, a panel discussion and hands-on workshops, we will explore ways to reimagine the structures that so often exclude artist parents. We want to advocate for a future where no one is asked to choose between creativity and care.

This event will be held in English.

DE

During the Symposium you will also meet works by Rania Atef, Magda Butek, Hannah Heilmann, as a small preview of the exhibition that will take place at FLORIDA ( Munich) from 18.09- till 12.10.
